With colder months soon approaching, bad weather is right around the corner. You definitely want to make sure your precious vehicle is in tip-top shape to keep you, your passengers, and your car safe. This can involve a number of steps, from getting that oil change you’ve been putting off to checking your tire pressure. However, one often-overlooked step is cleaning your headlamps.
Clean car headlights will increase your visibility as well as help other drivers to spot you on the road while driving at night or during inclement weather. Luckily, getting clean car headlights is pretty easy to do yourself.
You can use the following items:
Put a dab of non-gel toothpaste on a microfiber cloth, then scrub the headlights in small circles. Add more toothpaste and water as needed.
Just mix any dish soap with warm water and scrub your headlights with a sponge. This might not work as well with very yellowed or old headlights, but it’s effective for general headlight maintenance.
Mix up five tablespoons of baking soda with some water to make a paste, then slap it on the headlights and let it sit for about five minutes, then wipe it off.
