Ever get bored on your daily commute? The answer to your quandary lies in the podcast. It is by far the best way to pass the time on the road. Your only problem is sifting through the thousands of available podcasts floating out there on the interwebs. Good thing we compiled a list of the best podcasts of 2016.

Radiolab

The topics covered on Radiolab are wildly diverse but they always have one thing in common — science. You’ll find a profound scientific question or discovery at the heart of every story. Hosts Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich seem to have a preternatural ability to make anything dry and science-y seem human and real.

The Bright Sessions

Ever think you might be the craziest person on the planet? Just listen to an episode of The Bright Sessions and you will probably feel better about yourself. But it’s all in good fun. This fictional podcast features patients who suffer from rare maladies, like telekinesis.

Reply All

It’s honestly difficult to describe exactly what this podcast is about. The only way to do it is provide examples… Show #13 featured the hosts of Reply All following the misadventures of a 60-year-old woman who began dating after being married her entire adult life. Show #17 is a story about a real-life guy who once posted an ad promising time travel to interested parties.
