250th Anniversary of the York Fair

Nearby York, Pennsylvania, is currently hosting the York Fair, which runs for ten days from Friday September 11 to Sunday September 20. The York Fair is called “America’s First Fair,” and was first held in 1765, 11 years before America had declared independence. This year is a special year for the York Fair, as 2015 marks the 250th anniversary of the event.

The York Fair is a huge event, and it has a broad array of sights and attractions that bring fairgoers from far and wide.
