New Mazda CX-5 Redesigned for Style and Performance

New 2016 Mazda CX-5 at Chicago Auto Show

The Mazda CX-5 has been a customer favorite on the crossover market since its first appearance in 2012, so we’ve tracked the new CX-5 model—complete with a facelift and improved technology—very intensely. We’re happy to report that the new vehicle has not disappointed us, either. In fact, the CX-5 features all kinds of excellent design, powertrain, and technology updates.

For example, the new crossover comes with three different engine options—2.0-liter and 2.5-liter gasoline engines as well as a 2.2-liter twin-turbo diesel engine. They will all feature Skyactiv technology, which gives the vehicle more handling and efficiency. The vehicle also comes with new Adaptive LED Headlights, new high-beam technology, Satellite navigation, and even the MZD Connect infotainment system.

“Our new-generation models have proven very popular among customer,” said Mazda managing director David Hughes. “The updated CX-5 reflects our latest technologies and the new-generation line-up responds to the needs of an even wider range of customers. Moving forward, we will continue refining our new-generation models to enrich people’s lives and build a strong and lasting bond between Mazda and our customers.”
