During the holiday season, Mazda customers had the opportunity to participate in the Mazda Drive for Good event, which raised funds and service hours for charitable organizations across the US. We at Lancaster Mazda are proud to announce the program was able to donate above and beyond expectations.
During the Drive for Good event, Mazda pledged to donate $150 for every new Mazda purchased and an hour of service for each test drive taken.
With an increase of 79.4% over last year’s giving, the program raised a total of $4,937,850 for various non-profit organizations. In addition, Mazda employees and dealers will serve 66,000 hours during the year at charities in communities across the country.
“We could not have asked for better results from this year’s Mazda Drive for Good event,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO of Mazda North American Operations. “The growth seen in monetary donations and volunteer service hours are a welcomed increase. It allows Mazda’s employees, dealers and business partners to lend a helping hand and participate in constructive and engaging ways, helping their community throughout the year.”
We can’t wait to hear about the impact the donations, both monetary and service-oriented, have had on local communities during 2015.
